Below are listed examples of queries using (A) path attribute which are commonly used to segment visits by paths.

Queries Returning Visits With a Single Step

Example of a path query returning visits with a single step:

visits starting and ending in “black-friday” section with no other sections opened nor actions taken.

Examples of path queries returning visits with one or more steps:

path=^^landing-pages/black-friday^*
visits starting in “black-friday” section and ending anywhere (inc. the same section).
path=*^landing-pages/black-friday^*
visits in which “black-friday” section was visited at some point.
path=^^landing-pages/black-friday^*
visits ending in “black-friday” section started anywhere (inc. the same section).
path=^^landing-pages/*
visits starting in any of the “landing-page” sections and ending anywhere (inc. the same section).

Queries Returning Visits With Two Steps

Examples of a path queries returning visits with two steps:

visits in which user started in “black-friday” section, moved directly to registration and left the website there without submitting the registration form.
path=^^account/register^landing-pages/black-friday^^
visits in which user started in registration, moved directly to “black-friday” landing page and left the website there.

visits in which user started in registration, later on moved directly or indirectly to “black-friday” landing page and left the website there.

Queries Returning Visits With Three Steps or more

Examples of path queries returning visits with three steps or more:

visits in which user started in “black-friday” section then moved to another section (inc.”account/register) or performed an action and then moved to registration.

visits in which “black-friday” section was visited at some point followed directly be registration.

Examples of queries to find visits with more then one occurrence of the same event, for example:
